I was schooled in Durban, finishing Durban High in 1978. From there, I obtained my medical degree at University of Cape Town.

After the defence force duty and some post graduate time in paediatrics at Addington Hospital, I joined the Sharks Rugby organisation in 1990 as team physician, where we enjoyed our first of many Currie Cup successes during the nineties. Thereafter, I was appointed team physician for the Springbok U19 World Cup campaigns and later spend time with the USA rugby team.

I currently run a family and sports medicine practice and have a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound, wound care and sports psychology. I also do dive medicals, wellness assessments and minor surgical office procedures. I am married with children and live in Durban North.

I enjoy doing adventure type endurance racing, having completed the Mongol derby 1000km horse race, comrades and Dusi marathons to name but a few.

Look forward to seeing you.
